Club Welfare Officer

Role of the Welfare Officer

The Club Welfare Officer is responsible for ensuring that all players feel safe, supported and valued while taking part in football at City Colts Youth FC.

They are the first point of contact for any safeguarding or welfare concerns and work to ensure the club provides a positive, inclusive and child-friendly environment for everyone.

Their role includes:

  • Supporting the safety and wellbeing of all players
  • Ensuring safeguarding policies are followed
  • Listening to and responding to any concerns
  • Working with coaches, parents and the committee to promote best practice
  • Liaising with the County FA where required
